Your Mission

Sandarne School is now looking for a primary school teacher for grades 4–6.

As a teacher in grades 4–6, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching based on the curriculum. You create a safe and inspiring learning environment where students' development and learning are the focus. You work closely with colleagues in the team and actively participate in the school's development work. Together, you work to ensure that students have the best conditions to succeed both academically and socially.

Workplace Description

Sandarne School conducts active and continuous values-based work. The important ingredients in this are safety, influence, and ensuring that everyone meets the knowledge requirements and feels good. Employees and students have collaboratively developed six guiding principles that apply at the school: respect, helpfulness, responsibility, self-reliance, care, and cooperation. The values-based work also permeates our after-school care. The goal is for the after-school care to complement the education in the school.

Sandarne School is a F-6 school located about 7 kilometers south of Söderhamn's central area. Currently, about 140 students attend the school, of which approximately 80 students also attend our after-school care, Skärgårn. The number of employees is about 20. The school was built in 1919 and has a fantastic view of Söderhamn's fjord. The school's indoor environment is bright and pleasant with its large windows facing the water.

Your Competence

We are looking for a licensed teacher for grades 4–6. You are a flexible and stable person with good collaboration skills and a relationship-building approach. Your leadership in the classroom is characterized by clarity and structure, and you have the ability to motivate and engage your students. We value your ability to collaborate easily with students, colleagues, and guardians. It is considered an advantage if you have knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF) and can adapt teaching based on students' different needs.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
